Hair length above the nape of the neck can be
categorized as short hair. And when its summer time in India, everyone
heads to the barbers shop, for some cool short haircuts.
Well its not
only men anymore that enjoy the short hair-do’s infact more and more
women are now getting themselves a short haircut.
Short haircuts for men vary from short on the crown to a cru-cut at the
nape of the head. This gives the hair some bounce while filling in the
broadness of the face. Other cuts include the page boy cut, puffs and

Hairstylists get more creative with short women hairdos because there is
more length of hair to style. Women can stray away from the conventional
bob with something trendy. A layered bob is one of the short hairdos.
Here a layer or a maximum of two layers are given to the hair do. It
could either vary with a short layer on the top and a longer layer below
or vice versa. However the style depends on the face cut and the texture
of the hair.
One can also play with length of hair by either tapering the hair
towards the nape of the neck or towards the front of the face. Some more
style can be imbibed with fringes, bangs or side flicks. This brings in
more texture to the otherwise staid one type hairstyle.
Women in short haircuts need not feel envious of women with long hair as
research shows that short haired ladies are equally found attractive.
Also short hairdos define the face and give it more perspective. The
drawback could be that the wrinkles in the face are clearer with short
hairstyles. But then again if the hair is thinned with the tight cut it
can hide the wrinkles from the face.
However before you go to crop your hair short, discuss the style with
the hairdresser who will give you an idea of how the cut will look on
your hair. If it’s a clear sign then go ahead and enjoy your short hair.
