in your soul
Gaze into a small child's face
and tell me you can't see
The wisdom of a million years
Comforting and free
The sparkle of their laughter
The joy their presence brings
Could it be that we can't see
Their tiny angel wings?
Maybe in his wisdom
God has found a way
To guide us on our journey
Each and every day
Tiny hands to comfort us
Tiny feet to dance
Have I been the lucky one
To notice this by chance?
Trust me when I tell you
Just look into their eyes
Our children hold the missing link
They're angels in disguise
And as they grow their angel-ness
Surrounds us all our days
Sparkling in the dusky night
And in the sunshine's rays
So when you feel that safeness
That helps your heart unfold
You know your child has left a trace
Of Angels in your soul
The Night the Angel Came
I awoke one night from restless sleep feeling a presence inside my room,
I felt startled but settled when I looked out at the moon.
The moon was shining through the window, and gave me plenty of light to see,
the shadow of an angel looking out at me.
She reached out her hand and gently took my own,
telling me not to be afraid, that she had come to take me home.
Home, I said, with a strange look on my face,
THIS is my home, I don't want to leave this place.
She just smiled brightly and continued to hold my hand,
for she knew that it was my time to leave this land.
Come, she said, it's time for us to go, I promise you will be happy,
don't worry, God says it is so. It was then that I knew, deep down in my
soul, that God really does love me, I finally felt whole.
