If India were to be
considered to be a canvas board painted by an artist, then one
would be mesmerized by the colors that would make this entire
work of art. On one single canvas all the colors and their
shades would find a place.
And this is the
entire India culture being colored – multi-colored. The clothes,
the food types, the language and literature, the poetry, the
traditions, castes, creeds, the picturesque natural zones, the
urban cities, the rural villages, the original tribes…
All of these are
just a few of the innumerable aspects that have made the nation,
as intriguing as it has been.

Traders and plunderers, alike, have
turned poets writing abut their romance with India from the time they
stepped foot onto its land. While India has progressed by leaps and
bounds and is considered amongst the most advanced nations where
technology is concerned, yet, there is something pure that has not
changed here.
India culture today seems to be untainted by every aspect of progress
and development. Traditional family values still seem to exist. Like
they say: No matter where an Indian would live on the face of this
earth, you just cannot remove the Indianess from them. Their heart will
always be back home, no matter how many Dollars they are earning abroad.
This is because of the human bonding that happens here. This is a nation
where neighbors live like a single family. They share their joys and
sorrows, along with the meals and celebrations. There is so much of
unity. No matter what caste one may belong to, yet one will feel at home
in any part of the nation because of the feeling of oneness. Not only
that but even foreigners are made to feel so comfortable. No one is
guest when they visit the country, but a new member of the Indian
family.
People across the world have indulged in studying the culture and foods
of India. They are intrigued by how common herbs and spices are used to
create such diverse recipes. The amount of variant foods one can be
found here, would be more than putting all other world cultures
together.
And funnily, world recipes have found
their way into Indian homes and cultures with an Indian tinge to them.
So now there is the new Indian Foreign Food category. For instance,
there is the Indian Chinese, the Indian Continental, Indian Italian,
etc., all with a unique flavoring.
If one were to define the distinct culture of India, it could be summed
up as: The ability to imbibe anything new, without stiffness. This
mainly the ability to make a guest feel like a member of the family, in
every which way.
