While many may think
that starting a business in India is very difficult. Well, it is
rather difficult where the large establishments are concerned,
but the small ones are definitely simpler, as fewer formalities
have to be completed.
And for the small businesses there is no Government permissions
required, unless the nature of work does require it. For the
medium to large scale businesses, one needs to do a lot of
running abut where paper work and permissions are concerned. And
no doubt, there is a lot of palm greasing that needs to be done
on the way.
Once established doing business in India is about maximizing
profits and surviving the existing competition that seems to be
ever expanding.. |
While most would think that saturation is
reached in the number of business establishments of a particular
industry, there is actually scope for more. The main thing is that one
needs to have the sustaining power and faith to survive any kind of
roadblocks that occur at any given point.
This country is often known as the land of opportunities that are always
up for grabs. And so it is up to each person to be aware and alert of
what all business opportunities in India are floating around. It maybe
setting up a franchise, multi-level marketing, distribution, production
and manufacturing, beginning a syndicate of some sort, consultancy, etc.
And if one is not interested in the available readymade opportunities
then one can be creative enough to make one happen.
There are so many homemakers, who have put their creative talents to
best use and have set up lucrative businesses at home. They make gift
articles, run tuition classes, hobby classes, or then do some online
jobs, freelance writing, fashion designing, home catering services… the
list seems endless.
Though there is cutthroat competition yet, a vast majority maintains
optimum business etiquette in India. One fine example is that of estate
agencies. There are a number of agencies in every area and each one
takes charge of certain properties.
In order to avoid eating into someone’s business they share profits by
referring property held by each other. They consider customer
satisfaction on top of the list and are ready to share profits with each
other.
However, there are some who do believe in survival of the fittest and
are every ready to go out of their way to do away with ethics and bend
every rule in the book to maximize profits. Like they say, it takes
everyone to make this world what it is..
