Motivation is the most important aspect before you think of learning English. If you are not motivated, you will try to finish the program in haste and you will end up in frustration and leave the goal incomplete.

Plan your strategy:
How you want to learn, self study or group studies, how much interest you have in learning English, What level of English you already know. What are the resources you can have? How much time you can give in a day? Don’t make unrealistic goals; make achievable goals thinking that it’s a long journey where you have to know your capacity, your interest and time planning.

Find out what kind of learning would be suitable for you:
If you are an avid reader, surround yourself with English books like near your bed side table, where ever you go carry a book with yourself, so that you can read it while traveling or waiting at some place, having coffee on some coffee shop. Or at least read one book in a month.

If can’t do self study, join some English Coaching classes. But attend the classes regularly and do your home work religiously.

If you are an auditory learner then watch English movies, English TV serials or English news. You will definitely find the improvement or at least do 10 minutes of listening every day if you can.

Do not fear while speaking:
Do not fear while speaking in English thinking that you might speak incorrect. Just speak without feeling embarrass. First time you got stuck simply ignore the fact and go home check the correct word so that you never repeat the incorrect word but not speaking at all won’t help you because whatever language you learn, you need to speak that language.

Join some group Join group discussion in English. Make acquaintances where you need to speak in English or visit Public speaking or English speaking forum.

Listening
Listen to people speaking in English and grasp the skills. Learn a new word every day and then use that word whenever you get suitable opportunity.

Don’t give up
Most important thing: don’t give up. Keep trying till you achieve your goal. Be determined and start doing it .
