One does not need to
be a seasoned designer to get the tailor to stitch an exquisite
dress.
So to speak there is no particular style or design protocol that
makes the western summer dresses a separate category in
clothing. It is more about the colors and fabrics used – light
shades and lightweight.
The renowned brands
normally launch their new line of clothing on various ramps
around the world.
Designers from
various countries participate in these shows, where they inspire
others to create a similar range, so as to advance the fashion
trend they have launched. |
What makes the womens summer dresses
different each year is the dominating cut and length of the dress, as
well as the accessories being worn. Along with the changing clothes
trend, each year a different shade in cosmetics also dominates the
scene. In India there is a popular cosmetic brand that functions as a
platform for the designers to come together and showcase their designs
for the season. However, for each season the company decides a
dominating theme on the basis of which the garments and the general look
of the show is created.
Designers realize the value of cotton during the summer season and so
play with this fabric. Each year they attempt to launch innovative and
creative trends for the cotton summer dresses. However, this does not
mean that what one wore the previous summer is redundant. In fact, what
one wore ten summers ago can be worn this summer too, as it is or with
some modifications. Maybe creating fusion patterns, using the old dress
base and adding something new to it.
There are numerous prints where the floral summer dresses are concerned.
However, the commonly worn are those with prints of small flowers;
usually daisies in various colors or then the sunflower prints. However,
most women in the their mid-thirties onwards prefer fabric with rose
prints. The younger lot prefers something more vibrant. And those
willing to splurge on a dress or two could go to boutiques that stock up
summer designer dresses. One should know that for these dresses they are
not paying for the style and pattern as such, but the label or designer
who has created it.
