Sarees are consdered as one of the official symbols of India, in the world. And in recent years this garment seems to have taken the western world by a storm, with a large number of hollywood celebrities donning this simple, yet very pretty garment. People around the world believe that this is one piece of clothing that seems to further enhance a woman’s beauty. And since indain women are touted to be amongst the prettiest creatures of the human race, many say it’s the sarees they drape that make them look so gorgeous.

Apart from India, the saree is worn in a couple of other Asian countries such as Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh. But what India has, no other country has.

There is simply no limit to the variety of sarees that can be found here. If one thinks of ‘amazing sarees’ then one has to think of ‘India’. From Jammu & Kashmir to Kanyakumari, every state, every city has a new range of sarees with it.

Indian fashion saris are world famous. In fact, the best of the sarees made in India are actually exported. People often have to buy exclusive Indian sarees from places like Paris or Canada where they are exported.

The demand for sarees from India around the world has increased sharply, off late. There are many factors  responsible for this. One being, as mentioned earlier, the increasing popularity of Indian television channels all around the world.

From Kashmiri saree to Bengali to South Indian, every Indian saree is different from each other. They are not only different in styles and patterns, but the way they are draped is also different. They are not just the fashion of the State, but have deep roots in the culture of the State.
