Its not possible as
well as sensible to wear designer groovy clothes everywhere.
There are some occasions where completely formal dressing is
mandatory or rather expected.
In India,
formal dresses include kurta-pyjama (traditional) or shirt, pant
or suit (modern) for men and saree or salwar kurta for ladies.
Formal clothing is simple, sober, in soothing colors and
patterns that look elegant and decent. Bright colors, heavy
works or exposing designs are not recommended for formal
dressing. |
Occasions like a farewell party,
meetings, official conferences demand the participants to wear formal
dressing. Places like libraries, colleges, religious places also require
formal dresses.
For younger men, formal dressing can be limited to a formal shirt and a
trouser with leather shoes while the elderly may prefer a full formal
suit. Young ladies may again find more comfortable to wear salwar kameez
rather a saree, the official formal dress of ladies in India.
Branded formal wear have much more to speak beside patterns and
materials like they have to speak things like Monday dressing, Tuesday
dressing and so on to get a feel good factor and to conceptualize
dressing.
Females branded formal wear or
graduation
dresses are not easily available so they prefer to
go for tailor made clothes except for sarees. Materials preferred in
formal wear are cotton, silk and chiffon and patterns for formal wear
are easily available in magazines, shows on television or ideas can be
taken from designers.
Formal wear cannot be completed without a formal hairstyle, formal
watch, formal shoes and definitely formal behavior. So a must of formal
accessories is need to be considered for formal looks.
Formal wear, though, cannot be considered to be a part of fashion but
can be considered to be a part of style if properly patterned and worn
and carries that is by making proper selection.
