day in anyone's life is the wedding day. There is so much that
goes into preparing for this special day; right from the
function to the clothes. The bride is the heroine of the day.
She is the one who steps out of one way of living, moving onto
one unknown to her. It is the day of the biggest change she is
ever to go through, and all that she wears on that day makes her
the bride.
There are some fashion designers who specialize in one category
of clothes or another. Some concentrate on casual wear, denims,
formal wear, evening gowns, wedding dresses, etc. However, in
India, no matter how specialised a designer maybe they all lend
their expertise to the wedding outfit. |
Wedding fashion Designers take a lot of
pains designing wedding dresses. In order to make the bride look her
best, the designer keep in mind the color and fit that would compliment
her presence as the bride.
The dress can be anything from a beautifully embroidered saree with
little diamonds in it to a heavy lehenga with pearls or golden threads
in it. Designers look for every possibility in the dress that can
enhance the look of the bride.
The wedding dress designer works in three stages when preparing the
bride’s dress. The first stage is the consultancy stage where the
designer understands what the bride is looking for. In the second stage,
the bride is called for a trial where the fit of the dress is checked
and the final stage is where the bride tries on her dress, which is
complete.
While there is a general belief that designers charge the sky as fees,
it is not true in all cases. Basically during the consultancy stage the
designer finds out the client’s budget and in accordance creates the
best for the bride.
And apart from creating a fine outfit for the bride, some designers also
help with the make up and the final look. They help the bride to pick up
the ornaments to go with the dress and send across their make up
professional on the marriage day.
