Summer’s here again
and with it is all the joys and fun for kids and time for the
beach. And its also time to get the summer dresses kept away in
one section of the closet out. The light clothes that feels
feather-light on the body.
The cuts and fits
that do not stick to the body, but let it breathe completely.
This is important because wearing tightly fitting clothes can
cause various skin problems and heat rashes.
Most people prefer the casual summer dresses that are mainly in
pastel shades and flowery prints. Usually these dresses are in
the style known as the princess cut or the a-line dress. |
This type of design is where the dress
takes the body shape till the waist after which it flares out. Some have
a belt of the same material that is tied into a bow, or then one can
wear accessorized belts to break the monotony of the dress.
Most people feel that the length of the dress defines whether it is
summer dress or not. But this is not true. The distinction of this
category of dresses is more about the fabrics, prints and colors.
However, most youngsters prefer the short summer dresses that are
anywhere from two inches below the knees to the micro-minis. Those that
go up to two inches above the knees can be worn to the office, as long
as the necklines are not of the plunging type.
However, for all age groups the most preferred are the cotton
comfortable dresses that is worn by all age groups. They are available
as ready-mades in various boutiques and at a wide range of pricing. The
labels and designer-wear definitely cost a lot. Then one can go down the
marketplace where the roadside shops sell exports reject cotton clothes.
The summer beach clothes are designed as two pieces or then lose
slip-ons. The two pieces comprise of a cotton top and wrap around skirt
called sarongs. Generally, people prefer to wear something very lose, as
below their dress they wear their swim suits. So the actual preference
is the pinafores.
The formal dresses are rather expensive, however, for an evening out one
can wear the casual summer dresses cheap in the market. One can
accessorize it with beads and waistbands and a formal bag to give the
semi-formal summer look. The make up should be light. There are some
places that have discount summer dresses, which are actually the export
rejects. It is not that these dresses have any major defects. And as all
agree, they are value for money.
