Labour laws do not make vacation benefits mandatory. Offering vacation benefits to the employees solely depends upon the discretion of the employers. The company need not pay vacation benefits unless it has been included in the employment agreements. Despite this fact, many organizations prefer to offer employee vacation benefits like several other benefits that are not mandatory in the labour laws.

A company can withhold your vacation leaves if it has got an urgent business issue to settle.
