Because of company’s persistent efforts towards enhancing data card performance and affordable rates, it has managed to increase its subscribers’ base substantially.
Reliance communications has constantly managed to register robust and steady growth in last two years. The various services bundled together in a package are also the reason for consumers to opt for Reliance Netconnect. The company has targeted to acquire 10% of the desktop market and 30% of the laptop market in coming times. To further its strong presence in data card segment it has slashed its prices by almost 12-15%. Now, USB modem will cost Rs 2,490 from Rs 2.850 and PCMCIA data card has been priced at Rs 2,590 from Rs 2,990. This aggressive step will further its market share in emerging data card segment and will definitely push more customers to opt for reliance data cards. According to sales figure, the company is selling 12,000-15,000 units of data card per month. It has also tied up with major laptop players like Lenovo, HP and HCL to bundle its data card along with new laptop purchase.
