very few jobs today that are as popular as freelance,
online or offline data entry work in India. This has
many reasons. For one thing the Indian market has

requirements for applicants.

entry job, applicants are only required to be fluent in
English and possess the most basic typing, computer and

This generates a greater per
capita income for the country by increasing its work-force and
hence translates into a raised standard of living in the
country. This is good for all aspects of industry and hence the
Indian economy is looking at a very bright future because of the

In fact such is the demand for these jobs that while they are
available regularly, these jobs may be scarce.
The advancement and development of technological industries like
those that fall into the category of the Information Technology
Enabled Sector and telecommunications has led to the
facilitation of these jobs and people no longer even need to
leave their homes to find employment. However there are also
many fraudulent practices that pose as data-entry companies and
defraud the applicants of money rather than leaving them with an
income.
In truth, it is hard to pin point such companies as on the
Internet all companies appear to be authentic as the next ones.
This is why potential employees of such companies need to look
into the company’s history and even ask around about its payment
record. Word-of-mouth is a popular tool that can prove very
helpful in assessing a company’s trustworthiness. Another thing
is to remember that such companies, if genuine, would not ask
for a registration fee at all. Any company that charges you for
joining their work-force should be treated with suspicion.
There are also some data-entry companies that require a little
more than the very basic qualifications. In such cases, like for
instance in the case of medical transcribing, data-processors
may be required to know the important technical terms involved.
However these jobs also pay a little more than the usual
data-entry jobs do and such employees also stand a good chance
of being promoted.
Of course the kind of work you do has a big impact on how much
you get paid in this line of work. Since employees decide their
schedules and the amount of hard work they want to put in, each
employee’s pay packet may be different and each one would have
different scope of promotion in the companies. Very few people
actually work at such jobs for long periods of time though and
the employee turnover is usually very high at such
organizations.
