expensive than the normal coins that we use in today’s world.
However that is case is not always true. Sometimes ancient coins

than those that are very rare and have something significant on

Cleaning ancient coins and maintaining them is also important. The most
effective way to clean ancient coins is a simple blend of olive oil and
clean water. Soak the coins in an olive oil and distilled water mixture
for over six to ten hours. Then take the coin out and carefully brush
its surface with a toothbrush. Re-immerse the coin in the liquid mixture
and soak for another twenty-four to forty hour period. Later, brush the
surface once more.
The process is a little slow one. However it will make the coin
properly identified.
Ancient Chinese coins depicting the history of China can be extremely
cheap or extremely expensive. To ensure that one gets a good deal, it is
necessary to go through honest dealers as fake coins are common and hard
to detect.
Ancient Egyptian coins with pictures of famous princess like Cleopatra
or famous personality like Ptolemy are tremendously valuable and are
collector’s favorite items. Many people buy ancient gold coins as well
not just as an investment but for its rarity and great value. Such rare
gold coins fetch more price than the actual price of gold in the market.
