Swimming pools are a
great way to relax. After a long day’s work, a dip the pool is
all you need to feel revived. But just a pool in your backyard
surrounded by cemented walls is quite boring. Hence pool
landscaping is very important.
You need to bring in some beauty around the pool, keeping in
mind the cleanliness you would have to undertake.
Plants – they are a
good option, as they bring in some green colour against the
constant blue. The air is fresh and the feeling is like taking a
walk in nature, with trees and the water around you. |
However before planting
trees, be particular about the plants. For instance you do not want some
gigantic tree leaves forming a film on your pool. Fetching the leaves
out of the pool will be a regular, serious task then. Even trees with
thin leaves can be quite a task and make the surrounding messy. Stay
away from trees bearing fruits, as they attract bees and many other
insects. You do not want them stinging the pool patrons.
The same goes with flowers. Beautiful looking flowers have insects
hovering around them. So learn the seed before you plant it into the
soil. You do not want trouble later. Information is easily available at
Indian nurseries and interior
designing books.
Fencing the pool is another important aspect for pool landscaping. It
keeps your boundary clear and keep-off any stray animals or trespassers.
However if the fence looks to harsh to you then grow creepers around
them, so that they soften the harsh lines. However do not go for
flowering creepers.
Also take patios in consideration for pool landscaping. They bring in a
non-slip surface when you want to step out of the pool. A variety of
patios are available. So you can opt for what you want depending on your
need. If choosing a brick gazebo, remember to keep the surface rough and
periodically get the moss off the surface.
Placing furniture around the place is equally great. You can relax in
the sun. So place some easy chairs and tall
umbrellas.
